RYOT lists the PackRatz Medium at 7 by 5 inches. That is compact organizer territory. Think small vaporizer, charging cable, cartridges or containers, papers, a small hand pipe, or the pieces of an everyday accessory kit. Internal pockets help separate flat items, and the removable Fresh Pod gives you another way to organize material.

The 16-inch Pro-Duffle measures 16.5 by 9 by 8.5 inches. Its padded interior and removable dividers are designed to compartmentalize fragile accessories. The deeper rectangular shape can carry substantially more gear, but the main benefit is not raw volume. It is being able to create protected zones for glass, tools, containers, and accessories that should not collide in transit.

Protection and weather resistance

PackRatz uses a soft shell, so it protects against scuffs and keeps small pieces together, but it is not a hard case. Pro-Duffle adds antimicrobial foam padding, removable dividers, a weather-resistant exterior, and a moisture-sealing zipper according to the manufacturer. Those features make it the more suitable choice for fragile glass. They do not make it waterproof or crush-proof, so careful packing still matters.

What “smell proof” means for these bags

RYOT places both products in its SmellSafe carbon-lined bag family. Activated carbon is used to reduce odors passing through the bag. Real-world performance still depends on how strong the source is, whether containers inside are closed, how fully the zipper is sealed, and how saturated or old the carbon liner has become.

Treat either bag as one layer of odor control, not a promise of zero detectable odor. Put aromatic material inside its own sealed container, wipe residue from tools before packing, close the zipper completely, and follow RYOT's care guidance for refreshing or replacing carbon components. Locks can limit casual access, but a small luggage-style lock is not a substitute for responsible storage.
