Description

The straightforward design is known and used by all but spruced up on toughness with a 4mm thickness. The Thick Original Quartz Banger uses the standard Honeybee Herb design our banger nails are known for.

The extra thickness provides for good heat retention, making it able to handle hotter temp dabs.

Recommendation

This Thick Walled Banger begs for a classy dabber to go with it.

It is recommended to use the butane torch with all our equipment rather than propane to guarantee being set for the long haul.

Quartz banger questions

How do I season a new quartz banger?

Heat to red with a torch, let it cool to room temp completely (5+ minutes), then dab. Repeat 2–3 times. This prevents the new quartz from absorbing terps unevenly on first use.

What temperature should I dab at?

Low-temp dabs (450–550°F) preserve flavor; high-temp dabs (650°F+) give bigger clouds but burn off terps. Most flavor chasers heat to red, then wait 30–45 seconds before dabbing.

How do I clean it?

Q-tip while still warm — much easier than cleaning cold quartz. For deep buildup, soak in 91%+ isopropyl alcohol overnight. Don't over-torch trying to burn off chazz; that just makes it worse.

Why does my banger have white spots after a few uses?

That's chazz — quartz degradation from over-heating. Once it starts, it doesn't come off. Lower your heat, Q-tip after every dab, and replace the banger when it gets bad enough to affect flavor.

Bong & rig questions

How much water should I put in?

Enough to cover the downstem slits by about half an inch. Too little = no filtration; too much = splashback into your mouth. Test by inhaling gently before lighting.

How do I clean it?

Empty water after every session. Deep clean weekly with 91%+ isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt — see our 7-step bong cleaning guide. Don't pour boiling water on cold glass — borosilicate is heat-resistant, not heat-proof.

What's a percolator and which is best?

A percolator is the part that diffuses smoke into water for cooler, smoother hits. Showerhead, tree, honeycomb, and recycler are common. Recycler is the smoothest; showerhead is the most balanced. Read the bong shape guide for the full breakdown.

Will my existing bowl/banger fit?

Match joint size and gender (male/female). Most modern rigs use 14mm female. Read the joint sizes guide if unsure.
