Is this actually smell-proof?
Activated-carbon-lined bags actually trap smell molecules in the lining (not just block them). Silicone-only bags block but don't absorb. We don't list bags as smell-proof unless they have one of these technologies. Read our buyer's guide for details.
How long does the carbon liner last?
3-6 months of heavy use, longer for occasional. Replace the carbon insert (or buy a new bag) when smell starts escaping. Storing the bag closed when not in use extends carbon life.
Can I wash it?
Spot-clean exterior with damp cloth, air dry. Don't machine-wash carbon-lined bags — water saturates the carbon and ruins the smell-proofing.
